So Ive had my cat Stop Meowing At Me, AKA Meowmee, since I was 2. We found her as a stray, already declawed and spayed, and since my mom hates cats we tried for weeks to find her previous owners, but eventually she ended up sticking around because my golden retriever wouldnt stop giving her his food. X3
This cat is immortal. She cured herself of allergies, asthma, and diabetes. Shes now about 19 years old, and has lost all her muscle mass, her hearing and sight is failing, she can barely walk without losing her balance, and shes almost entirely stopped eating. Afraid of becoming one of those owners that keeps their animals alive long past the point at which they are even remotely comfortable just because they cant stand to lose them, Im putting her down tomorrow.
She was my first pet that was really mine, and shes obviously been the animal thats been with me the longest. So naturally Im relatively miserable right now. Its always hard to lose a pet, I guess, but it feels an awful lot more like Im losing a fuzzy little sister.

It's always hard to loose a pet when you've had them that long. I had a mutt dog that my parents rescued from a no-kill shelter and he was my best friend. I could always talk to him. but we had to put him down because of tumors in his tail in 2004. I lost my best friend, so I know what you're going through.

It's hard to let them go, but I think, in this case, you're doing the most loving and selfless thing for your friend.
Big hugs for you and Meowme.
But it was a good life, no?
That helped me be somewhat positive afterwards.
Come rant on here; we'll be reading.

In simplicity we find beauty.
We had a kitten that was only two months old, but she had and eye and ear tumor and a enlarged heart. We tried to help her live a happy life by removing the tumors, but they just kept coming back so we had to put her down.
Just don't regret your decision, it's for the best

98% of deviants here have had, will have, or DO have some ridiculous percentage thing in their signature about the number of teens who use pot, believe in God, etc. If you are one of the 2% that don't, didn't, and never will, stick this up your nose.
