Anthro Domestication by =Nylak:iconNylak:

Artist's Comments

Finally forced myself to finish this.

I used a new colouring style that was remarkably fast and easy, but turned out like crap. I'm not pleased at all with this. I drew it all by shading with progressively darker shades of gray on the plain white lineart, without any regard to colour or markings. I then selected areas with a selection tool, and added colour and shadows/highlights/markings as appropriate, once the texture had already been drawn in on the white layer.

I don't think I'll be trying that again.

For those of you who hadn't seen the explanation under the sketch, it's basically a husky and wolf anthro, with the wolf anthro not quite grasping the concept of two legs yet.

Done in Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0. Clocked at about 1.5 hours.

I really love the motion/flow of the figures, makes them seem very life like.

Though not your usual technique, this one did produced quite nice results in areas like the wolf's hindquarters/tail, and the husky's head/mane. I already told you how much I liked the poses.
